Right of expression

Let’s face it. Most of us are not satisfied with the current state affairs and political situation. There is a kind of uncertainty in the air, and the general public is often at the receiving end of the policies. Laws and initiatives, however well researched and implemented, we are just to experience the brighter side of it. The political uncertainty has led to the general unrest which is quite prevalent in the state. It is natural for people to vent out their anger and dissatisfaction on the medium of their choice. The medium could be different based on their preference. It could be Memes, Articles, Blogs, Cartoons, Forward Messages, etc. The constitution of India grants the citizen the right to express their opinion. Are there any guidelines on the extent of view that can be signified? If there are restrictions, how does it grant the right of expression of opinion? Is it right to punish a critic for expression of their thoughts? I was under the impression that this culture ended with the British Era. Maybe I should be more careful with my words.

However, every critic should express a social ethic when it comes to stating their opinion. It is not a rule, but it is a social responsibility. When we represent a view for the general public in the interest of them, it is likely for people to misinterpret them and create a misguided influence.
